About Lunar Junkie
Just like you, I’ve always been fascinated by the cosmos since I was a kid. I had dreams of exploring it as a child. However, life and family responsibilities pushed that dream aside for many years. I got into astrophotography in 2018, but like many of you, I found it to be quite pricey and complicated to start. I struggled to find the right resources to build a complete telescope setup for beginners and the guidance on how to operate it.

Amateur Astronomy
Chasing after amateur astronomy has always been my top dream, and I’ve really wanted to be part of the Space Community. I enjoy hanging out with amazing people, hearing their thoughts, and getting their feedback while sharing my space images. I hope that one day I can inspire others to gaze up at the stars.
Deep Sky Objects
Deep-sky objects (DSOs) refer to astronomical entities located outside our Solar System, mainly including galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters.

The galactic core serves as the luminous heart of our Milky Way galaxy, containing a supermassive black hole along with a tightly packed group of stars.
- The Milky Way is a disk spanning approximately 120,000 light years in width, featuring a central bulge that measures around 12,000 light years in diameter.
- Our galaxy consists of roughly 90% dark matter, which is invisible, and around 10% "luminous matter," or the matter that is visible to us.
- The Milky Way is considered a medium-sized galaxy, containing approximately 200 billion stars. In contrast, the largest galaxy known to us is IC 1101, which boasts more than 100 trillion stars.
